Panthers girls second at Reedsville

The Oconto Falls High School cross-country teams competed at the 11-team Reedsville Cross-Country Invitational on Thursday, with the Panther girls finishing in second place and the boys finishing in fourth. Bailey Wolf led the Panthers with a first-place finish in the 5,000-meter race in 20 minutes, 15 seconds. Ashley Keuken finished in eighth place with a personal best time of 21:34. Diane Moore (22nd place), Grace Williams (25th place) and Liza Leja (34th place) rounded out the top five scorers for Oconto Falls. Maddie Kurzynske, and Grace Witt were the other varsity runners for Oconto Falls. The OFHS boys placed two runners in the top 10, as Evan Konitzer and Noah Kokko-Ludemann finished in fifth and seventh, respectively. Justan Konitzer placed 23rd and Ben Stoinski finished 32nd. Freshman Brody Schindel sprinted past two teammates in the last 50 meters to finish 38th. Freshman Brent Wolf placed 39th, and senior Doug Mittelstaedt finished 40th.
