Pamela (Pam) Aroline Staude, 64, of Las Vegas, Nevada, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas.
Pam was born on June 21, 1959, to the late Maynard and Lucille Schuettpelz in Oconto Falls, and grew up in Suring. It was in Suring that she met her future husband and love of her life. On Feb. 24, 1979, Pam married Dennis Staude of Watertown.
The couple eventually settled in Fort Atkinson with their two children, Jennifer and Jessica. While raising her family, Pam worked various jobs. She was an avid baker throughout her life, creating her own wedding and groom’s cakes, and passing down recipes to her children.
Jennifer still requests German chocolate cake for her birthday, while Jessica favors butterhorns. Even today, Jennifer and Jessica get together and decorate the family’s traditional sugar and molasses cookies passed on by Pam and her mother, Lucille.
Pam had a bright and bubbly personality, always ready to toast with a glass of champagne. She loved to sing and dance, boasting an incredible vocal range that led her children to joke she could be a one-woman choir. Her passion for music and dancing continued until her passing.
Pam and Dennis were dedicated Wisconsin Badger sports fans, regularly attending events since the 1990s. Badger football games and tailgates became a cherished family tradition, with the entire family even traveling to California for two Rose Bowls.
Pam fulfilled one of her dreams when she and Dennis retired to Las Vegas in 2020, where Pam enjoyed the sun, the heat and having a beer by the backyard pool. They enjoyed hosting family and friends visiting them in the desert.
In keeping with Pam’s loving and generous spirit, she chose to be an organ donor, providing the gift of life to others in need. The family extends their gratitude to Mountain View Hospital and the MICU staff for their kind and compassionate care.
Pam is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Jennifer (Kyle) Mook and Jessica (Jim) Braun; brother, Randy (Mary) Schuettpelz; and sister-in-law, Barb Schuettpelz.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Daryl Schuettpelz.
A small funeral service was held on June 21, 2024 – what would have been her 65th birthday – at Foundation Lutheran Church in Las Vegas. The family wishes to thank Pastor Matthew Frey and the many volunteers from Foundation Lutheran and Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church for their compassion and support during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held in Wisconsin on July 27 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, W4095 County Road B, Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, 53038.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Foundation Lutheran Church in memory of Pam. She and Dennis worshiped there after moving to Las Vegas.
Pam will be truly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
