Shawano, March 23
The Shawano boys captured nine top-10 finishes at the Ripon College Showcase Meet on March 23.
Will Chelberg ran to a third-place finish in the 3,200-meter run, while teammate Josiah Kuehl placed eighth.
Ethan Onesti captured fourth in the 800-meter run. He was also fifth in the 1,600-meter run.
Shawano’s 4x400-meter relay team placed sixth, with the 4x800-meter relay team finishing in seventh and the 4x200-meter relay team claiming eighth.
Drake Herm jumped to eighth place in the pole vault.
Lucas Nuthals earned a 10th-place finish in the 60-meter dash.
Shawano, March 21
Shawano placed second with 97 points at the Wausau West Boys Small School Invitational on March 21. Northland Pines won the meet with 174 points.
Shawano’s sole win was in the sprint medley relay in 2:29.72.
Shawano placed three in the top 10 in the 400-meter dash. Ryan Schwitzer led the Hawks in second place, with Joshua Lesperance in seventh and Maverick Theis in ninth.
The Hawks also had three in the top 10 in the 200-meter dash. Drake Herm placed second, Logan Korth placed third, and Schwitzer finished sixth.
Aiden Rasmussen placed third and Kaden Ewert was fourth in the 55-meter dash. Shawano also placed third in the 4x400-meter relay.
Herm jumped to fourth place in the pole vault, while Schwitzer was sixth. Korth was fourth in the long jump.
Joseph Kelliher finished in fifth in the 1,600-meter run. He also finished 10th in the 200-meter hurdles.
Shawano was sixth in the 4x800-meter relay, and Lesperance was sixth in the triple jump.
Theis was seventh in the shot put.
Aiden Sischo placed 10th in the 800-meter run.
Bonduel, March 21
The Bonduel boys earned 53 points and placed second out of four teams at the Seymour Invitational on March 21.
The team of Griffin Uelmen, Oliver Chitwood, Joah Dworniczak and Garrett Anderson placed first in the 4x200-meter relay in 10:32.63.
Uelmen won the 800-meter run in 2:31.85.
Freshman Malachi Gray won the 55-meter dash in 7.55, while sophomore Mason Ballwahn placed fourth.
Gage Anderson won the 400-meter dash in 1:04.15.
Gage School won the long jump at 16 feet 6 inches, with Gage Anderson leaping to third.
Uelmen finished second in the high jump, and Ballwahn tied for seventh.
Three freshmen placed third, fourth and fifth in the 1,600-meter run. They were Chitwood, Anderson and Dworniczak, respectively.
In the 200-meter hurdles, it was Scholl in third and Ballwahn in fourth.
The 4x400-meter relay saw Scholl, Gray, Adam Beaulieu and Thorneorrow place fourth.
Kaiden Thorneorrow, Isaac Seefeldt, Ballwahn and Gray were fifth in the 4x200-meter relay.
Senior Eduin Romero placed fifth in the shot put, and Seefeldt was 10th.
Oconto Falls, March 19
Several Panthers cleaned up when they hosted the Oconto Falls Indoor 1 on March 19.
Isaac Brauer earned first place in the 45-yard dash, with Lucas Heimke of Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy finishing fourth. Oconto Falls’ Brady Bursa was fifth, Evan Lotter-Greetan was sixth, Croix Gardebrecht placed seventh, and Bryce Schefdore and Alex Frehse tied for eighth. Lena/STAA runner Gonzalo Del Val Arroyo was among five who tied for 10th.
Bramer also won the 200-meter dash, with Heimke in second, Frehse in fifth, Del Val Arroyo in sixth, Oconto Falls’ AJ Hendricks in eighth and Panther Cason Weenig in ninth.
Oconto Falls’ Emerson Rice earned first place in the 400-meter dash. Suring’s Quinn Thomson finished second and Jake Cornell placed third, with Gardebrecht in fourth, Panther Carter Hill in sixth, Suring’s Dayne Ermis in seventh and Oconto Falls’ Kolton Krueger in eighth.
First place in the 800-meter run went to Ben Adams of Oconto Falls, with Erik Kosch of Lena/STAA in second, Oconto Fall’s Sage Mendolla in third, Braxton Rajkovich of Oconto Falls in fourth, Suring teammates Jayden Frank and Garrett School taking sixth and seventh, respectively, and Lena/STAA’s Robert Alberts in seventh.
In the 1,600-meter run, it was Oconto Falls’ Griffin Kopke taking first and Suring’s Liam Matelski placing second.
The 55-meter hurdles had Alex Haines of Oconto Falls in first, teammate Emerich Skarban in second and Suring Trent VanDenElzen in third.
The 4x100-meter relay was won by Oconto Falls, with Suring taking second and another Oconto Falls foursome in third.
Suring won the 4x400-meter relay, and Oconto Falls was second. The finishing order flipped in the 4x800-meter relay.
The shot put title belonged to Anthony Seefeldt of Lena/STAA, with Schefdore in second, Lena/STAA’s Colton Skrobel in fourth, Suring’s Trent Thomson in fifth, and Oconto Falls teammates Tanner Arndt and Jonathan Moody placing sixth and seventh, respectively.
Skarban won the high jump, with Haines in second, Ermis in fourth, VanDenElzen in sixth, and Oconto Fall’s Boden Gilson and Hendrix Cheek placing seventh and eighth, respectively.
The top spot in the pole vault went to VanDenElzen, with teammate Taylor Brown finishing in second. Krueger placed fifth, Suring’s Garrett Peters was sixth, and Hill was seventh.
Bursa won first place in the long jump, with Heimke in second, Thomson in fourth, Potter-Greetan in fifth, Oconto Falls’ Weston Hoskins in sixth, Suring’s Kroix Kempka in eighth and Suring’s Dylan Flynn in 1oth.
Bursa also won the triple jump, followed by Heimke in second, Cornell in third, Gardebrecht in fourth, Ermis in fifth, Peters in sixth and Gillett’s Bradin Bjelland in seventh.
Pulaski, March 19
Pulaski’s boys earned five top-10 finishes at the Ripon College Invite on March 19.
Keaton Dauk finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles.
Jacob Heston was fourth in the triple jump, while Aiden McGin was seventh.
Parker Marshall placed seventh in the 3,200-meter run, and Daniel Augustine was eighth in the 800-meter run.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood, March 19
Landen Schmidt led the Chargers with a fourth-place finish in the shot put at the Marshfield Tiger Boys Invite on March 19.
Donald Komosa finished fifth in the 440-yard dash, and Michael Gunter placed eighth in the 220-yard dash.
Bonduel, March 18
Two individuals and one foursome earned first-place spots for Bonduel at Seymour Indoor Quad on March 18. Several others earned top-10 finishes.
Gage Anderson was the best in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.78. Joah Dworniczak placed seventh.
Griffin Uelmen was first in the 800-meter run in 2:33.78.
The 4x400-meter relay team was first in 4:38.59.
Relay teams in the 4x200 and 4x800 placed second, as did Ben O’Brien in the 1,600-meter run and Malachi Gray in the long jump. O’Brien was sixth in the long jump.
Mason Ballwahn placed third in the 55-meter dash, followed by Gray in fourth and Gage Scholl in ninth.
Eduin Romero earned sixth place in the shot put, and Isaac Seefeldt was 10th.
