A plea hearing was held for Mohmednoor S. Abdullahi, 21, Faribault, Minnesota. He pleaded guilty to felony charge of contribute to delinquency — acts or omissions June 21 in Oconto County. A $50,000 cash bond continues. Sentencing is Nov. 18.
A waiver preliminary hearing/arraignment was held for James L. Nerenhausen, 18, Oconto. The court amended the felony charges of child abuse — intentionally cause harm, which allegedly occurred July 19 in Oconto, to two misdemeanor charges. He pleaded not guilty. He pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of exposing a child to harmful material and a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred June 15 and July 19 in Oconto. A $500 cash bond was increased to $5,000. A pretrial conference/plea hearing is Oct. 27.
A status conference was held for Daniel O. Grostad, 40, Milwaukee. He pleaded not guilty to felony charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle (while having prior intoxicant-related conviction revocation), homicide by the use of vehicle, with prohibited alcohol concentration,(while having prior intoxicant-related conviction revocation), operating while under the influence cause injury (second subsequent offense), prohibited alcohol concentration cause injury (second subsequent offense), homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred May 11 in Doty. A $15,000 cash bond continues. A final pretrial conference is Jan. 12.
A status conference was held for Tiffany A. Gerrits, 24, Oconto Falls, on felony charges of first-degree reckless homicide, manufacturing heroin and possession with the intent to deliver heroin, which allegedly occurred Aug. 29 in Abrams. A $250,000 cash bond continues. A final pretrial is Jan. 26.
An adjourned initial appearance was held for Owen R. Birr, 34, Oconto Falls, on a felony charge of stalking and one misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred Aug. 9 in Underhill. A $5,000 cash bond continues. A preliminary hearing is Oct. 7.
An arraignment was held for Jason R. Koehler, 36, Manitowoc. He pleaded not guilty on a felony charge of theft of movable property (more than $10,000) and a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred Sept. 2 in Oconto. The $2,500 cash bond continues. A motion hearing is scheduled Oct. 13.
A initial appearance was held for Cody Colby, 18, Oconto, on felony charges of forgery — writing/objects and forgery — uttering, which allegedly occurred Sept. 30 in Oconto. The court set a $200 cash bond. A continued initial appearance is scheduled Oct 8.
Proceedings from Sept. 29
A sentencing hearing was held for Russell P. Radaj, 45, Oconto Falls, on a felony charge of OWI (fourth within five years), which occurred March 11 in the town of Lena. He was sentenced to 18 months incarceration and three years extended supervision. His driver’s license is revoked 36 months and an ignition interlocking device is in place for 36 months. He was penalized six demerit points on his driver’s license. He must successfully complete an alcohol assessment and maintain absolute sobriety. On two misdemeanor charges, he was sentenced to 30 days jail, concurrent to the felony charge, and his driver’s license is revoked six months, consecutive to the felony charge.
A sentencing after revocation hearing was held for Heather M. Worm, 23, New London, on a felony charge of theft of movable property ($2,500-$5,000), repeater, which occurred Dec. 1, 2010, through Feb. 6, 2012, in Abrams. She was sentenced to 18 months incarceration at Taycheedah Correctional Institution and six months extended supervision. She must pay the remainder of her restitution of $1,759.15 during this sentence.
A sentencing hearing was held for Joseph J. Phelps, 38, Lena, on a felony charge of bail jumping July 19 in Little River. He was sentenced to three years incarceration and three years extended supervision. He must maintain full-time employment, successfully complete a Compass evaluation, anger management and domestic violence assessments and programs, take all prescribed medications as directed and have no contact with the victim.
A waiver preliminary hearing was held for Sarah L. Johnson , 26, Green Bay, on a felony charge of possession of narcotic drugs and three misdemeanor charges, which allegedly occurred June 13 in Little Suamico. A $5,000 signature bond continues. An arraignment is Oct. 8.
