Andy Paul Beaudin, 80, of Mason Woods, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, Oct. 23, 2013, at his home with his loving family by his side. Andy was born January 20, 1933 in Laona, a son of the late Andy and Viola (Biever) Beaudin.
Andy attended the Laona schools and was a graduate of Laona High School. Following high school, he served his country by entering the United States Air Force. On May 25, 1957, he was united in marriage to the former Carol Meverden in Milwaukee.
Prior to his retirement, Andy had been employed as a foreman in the electrical shop at Andre’ Electric in Milwaukee. He retired in the mid 1990s. After his retirement, he and Carol moved to Berry Lake. Carol preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 2006.
He was later united in marriage to the former Joan Hendrickson at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. The couple has resided at Mason Woods for the past year. Andy was an avid sports fan. He loved to hunt and fish. Andy was a very handy man who was willing to help anyone out with any project since he pretty much owned one of every tool known to mankind.
Andy is survived by his wife, Joan, of the town of Washington; two daughters, Dawn (Marlin) Cayton, of Marion, Iowa, and Tammy Malison of Helenville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Pete Sivertsen, of Laona; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol,, a son, Andy Jr., and two sisters.
A celebration of the life of Andy Beaudin will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at the Jackson Room at Mason Woods, N6446 Emory Ansorge Road, Cecil. Dave Green will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma. Relatives and friends may gather at Mason Woods after 10 a.m.Saturday until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family has requested memorials in the name of Andy Beaudin be directed to the ThedaCare at Home Hospice or to the Northern Grace Youth Camp on Berry Lake.
Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano is assisting the family with the service arrangements.
