Clintonville Firemen's Festival taking shape

The 35th annual Clintonville Firemen’s Festival will be held Aug. 8-9 at Olen Park in Clintonville. The festival will kick off with the second annual fish fry at 5 p.m. Friday. The Slab Band from the Wausau area is scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m. A parade will step off at 11 a.m. Saturday. Parade registration forms are available at City Hall and on the Clintonville Firemen’s Association Facebook page. Truck Town Sounds will play polka music from 1-4 p.m. at Olen Park. Food, catered by Mathews Supper Club of Clintonville, will be available. There also will be kiddie water fights, bounce house, mountain of gold, dunk tank and other children’s activities. The rock band Hyde will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight. Raffle tickets are available from local firefighters. Funds raised at the festival have contributed more than $75,000 in equipment to the Fire Department and local charities.
