Allan L. Loney, 69, of Navarino, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015. He was born on Sept. 28, 1945, son of the late Melvin and Elleanore (Measner) Loney. On Aug. 6, 2004, he was united in marriage to Mary Schommer.
Allan was an Army Vietnam veteran and farmed in Polk County until his retirement. Allan was a member of the 2nd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, Company E, The Iron Brigade Civil War re-enactment group, and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Howard.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling with his wife, but his real passion was farming. He was a good storyteller and enjoyed belonging to his veteran group.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, Drew; brother, Myron (Karen) Loney; sister, Barb (Paul) Anderson, sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Kurt) Andrews.
Allan was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Van Cleave.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 4-7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 22, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Howard from 10 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Bergstadt officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery, town of Farmington.
