Gayle F. Wendt

Gayle F. Wendt, 78, of Appleton, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Kaukauna. She was born in Shawano on April 27, 1937, to the late Wilbert and Delia (Fischer) Funk. Gayle was an excellent homemaker who loved to cook and bake. She also cherished time spent with family. Gayle is survived by her children, Kathy Richley, of Kaukauna, Tony (Rickard Aldrich) Wendt, of Woodland Park, Colorado, Bob (Julie) Wendt, of Kimberly, and Kyle Brooks, of Appleton; grandchildren, Susan (fiancé Tony Behnke), Eric (Randa) and Andy Richley, Brandon and Madelyn Wendt, and baby Ellie on the way; great-grandsons, Davyn and Sylas; brothers, Gilbert (Sally) and Bob (Emmy) Funk; and brother-in-law, Bob “Boomer” Kroll. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Gayle was preceded in death by her children, Mary and infant John Wendt, and sister, Elaine Kroll.
