Curtis L. Beilfuss, 84, of Menasha, formerly of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, Oct. 27, 2015, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home in Menasha, where he had been a resident for the past five years.
Curtis was born on Aug. 2, 1931, in Shawano, a son of the late Elmer and Edna (Schenk) Beilfuss. He attended grade school in Cecil and later graduated from Bonduel High School. Following high school, he farmed with his Uncle Rudy in Bonduel, and later worked at a plywood factory in Gillett. On Oct. 4, 1959, he was united in marriage to the former Lucinda Kenyon in Shawano. Following their marriage the couple lived and farmed in Bonduel until moving to Shawano in 1969. Curtis then worked at Four Wheel Drive in Clintonville.
Curtis was a true handyman and worked on everything from cars to carpentry to plumbing to electrical work. He also distributed the Shoppers Guide. Curtis loved to hunt. He was a member of Community Church, Appleton.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucinda, of Menasha; three daughters, Debra Ann Beilfuss, of Appleton, Donna Mae Pehlke, of Shawano, and Tammy L. DeBruin, of Menasha; four grandchildren, Joanna Zobjeck, Michael Pehlke Jr., Nicole Pehlke and DonnaJo Pehlke; one great-grandson, Isaac Boivin; his sister, Shirley Bluemke, of Shawano; his sister-in-law, Hazel Beilfuss, of Cecil; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James “Jimmy” Beilfuss, and his brother-in-law, Raymond Bluemke.
Funeral services for Curtis Beilfuss will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano. Pastor Wade Hetrick will officiate. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at Mickelson Funeral Service on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
