Storm warning in effect for much of Wisconsin

A wintry mix of snow, ice, gusty winds and freezing rain is expected to make travel difficult in most of Wisconsin through Tuesday. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for a large portion of the state. Inland areas are expected to see the most snow accumulation with totals possibly reaching a foot to the northwest, 5 to 8 inches in south central counties and 2 inches along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Forecasters say the precipitation will accumulate overnight with strong winds of 25 to 50 mph. The storm warning is in effect until Tuesday morning.
