At 5:50 a.m. July 21, a vehicle driven by a Lena woman swerved to avoid striking a deer on Midway Road north of County Road A in the town of Lena, entered a ditch and overturned several times. Her vehicle sustained severe damage.  At 10:55 a.m. July 20, a vehicle driven by a New Berlin man was backing up and struck the Stiles Junction Food and Fuel building on Duame Road in the town of Stiles, causing moderate damage to the building. The impact caused items inside the store to fall and injured an Oshkosh woman. An ambulance was called, but medical personnel determined she did not require transportation to a medical facility.   At 12:25 p.m. July 20, a van driven by a Gillett male was stopped in traffic on County Road R waiting to make a left turn onto Harry’s Road. A semi driven by a Gillett male had witnessed two motorcycles passing him but failed to see the van and collided with it. There was minor damage to the semi and van. Several ladders on a trailer being towed by the semi were damaged.   At 4 p.m. July 13, a female was driving her car south on County Road G in the town of Spruce and struck a curb, causing her to overcorrect and enter a ditch and strike a mailbox and culvert. Moderate damage was reported to her auto.  At 5:47 p.m. July 17, two males were driving cars, each traveling west on state Highway 22 east of Company Lake Road. The vehicle traveling ahead slowed to turn into a driveway and was rear-ended by the second vehicle. The driver of the lead vehicle suffered injuries and was taken to a medical facility. The second driver was cited for inattentive driving.  At 11:16 p.m. July 14, a male driver struck the Lakewood gas station on state Highway 32. A witness reported the driver was sitting in his vehicle at the station about 20 minutes before he attempted a parking maneuver and struck the building near the corner on the south side. The driver then left the scene and was located later. He was cited for inattentive driving and failure to have control of the vehicle.  The theft of about 9,000 feet of cable was reported July 16. The cable was on spools on West Frontage Road in the town of Little Suamico and owned by American Transmission Co. The black, covered cable is valued at about $28,000. It was reported the locks on a gate were cut.   At 12:11 p.m. July 14, a car driven by a male was turning from Beaver Lake Road onto Fireside Road in the town of Oconto Falls and struck a northbound car driven by a female. No injuries were reported, with moderate damage listed to both vehicles.  At midnight on July 14, a pickup truck driven by a male left Guelig Road west of Old 41 Road in the town of Stiles and entered the south ditch. He was cited for driving while intoxicated.  A mobile home used as a cottage in rural Suring was entered without permission prior to June 24. Items taken include three large-mouth mounted bass, two deer heads, an antler lamp, five guns, ammunition, a compound bow, liquor, two 30-pack cases of beer and several cameras. A door was kicked in to gain entry.
