Registration has opened for the 2015 River Island Junior Golf League.
The league will offer two options for area youth. “Flighted” members will golf in team and individual play. This option is open to those entering sixth grade in the fall, up to 19 years old.
The other option is “Lessons” members, aimed at beginner golfers. This option is open to youth who will be in third grade in the fall and older.
“River Island Junior Golf League is a recreational league that promotes a social and fun way to experience the game of golf while enjoying this great course that we are so lucky to have here in Oconto Falls,” league co-director Beth Jaeger said.
Junior golf league season will run Thursdays from June 11 through July 30, with the opening banquet June 4 and closing banquet Aug. 6. The opening banquet will be held at 5:30 p.m. at River Island Golf Course.
League dues are $20. Membership includes $5 rounds of golf all season, games, team-logo wear, weekly food specials, end-of-year awards, opening/closing banquets and golf clinics.
