An initial appearance was held for Bowe D.L. Gagnon, 19, Abrams, on a felony charge of burglary to a building or a dwelling, party to a crime, and two misdemeanor charges, which allegedly occurred July 10 in Stiles. The court set a $5,000 cash bond. A continued initial appearance is Aug. 13.

A waiver preliminary hearing was held for Robert R. Olson, 47, Oconto Falls, on felony charges of strangulation and suffocation (three counts) and four misdemeanor charges, which allegedly occurred May 26 in Oconto Falls. A $500 cash bond continues. An arraignment and possible plea and sentencing hearing are scheduled Aug. 21.
An initial appearance was held for Cody J. Meyer, 27, Lena, on felony charges of hit-and-run causing injury (repeater) and a meanderings charge, which allegedly occurred July 15 in Oconto Falls. The court set a $1,500 cash bond. A continued initial appearance is Aug. 13.

Gallian, 21, Suring, on felony charges of manufacturing and delivering THC (distribution to minors), maintaining a drug trafficking place, plus a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred April 30 in Suring. A $2,000 cash bond continues. An arraignment and possible plea and sentencing hearing are scheduled Aug. 21.
A waiver preliminary hearing/arraignment was held for Brian M. Madson, 30, Oconto. He pleaded not guilty to felony charges of theft, movable property, party to a crime (two counts), which allegedly occurred Jan. 1 and March 31 in Oconto. A $2,500 cash bond continues. A pretrial conference is Sept. 10.

A preliminary hearing was held for Jacob R. Buelteman 29, Oconto Falls, on a felony charge of vehicle operator fleeing or eluding an officer, which allegedly occurred June 20 in the town of Oconto Falls. A $2,500 cash bond continues. An arraignment is Aug.13.
A motion hearing was held for Cantri D. Walkowiak, 29, Oconto Falls, on felony charges of manufacturing/delivering schedule I and II narcotics, conspiracy to commit, which allegedly occurred May 14 in Oconto Falls. A $1,500 cash bond continues. A preliminary hearing is Aug. 25.
Proceedings from July 13
A status conference/bond motion hearing was held for Mohmednoor S. Abdullahi, 21, of Faribault, Minnesota. He faces felony charges of use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and child enticement sexual contact, which allegedly occurred June 21 in Oconto County. A $50,000 cash bond continues. A preliminary hearing is Aug. 7.
A preliminary hearing was held for Daniel O. Grostad, 40, Milwaukee, on felony charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle (second-plus offense), homicide by the use of vehicle with prohibited alcohol concentration (second-plus offense), operating while under the influence cause injury (second-plus offense), prohibited alcohol concentration causing injury (second-plus offense), homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred May 11 in Doty. A $15,000 cash bond continues. An arraignment is Aug 13.
An arraignment was held for Jacob W. Oestreich, 26, Oconto Falls. He pleaded not guilty to felony charges of OWI (fourth within five years) and operating with prohibited alcohol concentration (fourth within five years), which allegedly occurred Jan. 27 in Oconto Falls. A $750 cash bond continues. A pretrial conference is Aug. 13.
A waiver preliminary hearing/arraignment was held for Kennedy P. Courchaine, 50, Oconto Falls. He pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of first-degree child sexual assault, sexual contact with a child under 13, which allegedly occurred from June 1 to Aug. 30, 2014, in Pensaukee. A $25,000 cash bond continues. A pretrial conference is Aug. 13.
A sentencing hearing was held for Brandon D. Dakins, 29, Oconto, on felony charges of first-degree child sexual assault. On a charge of causing a child under 13 to view or listen to a sex act, he was sentenced to 20 years incarceration and 20 years extended supervision. On one count of incest with a child, he was sentenced to five years incarceration and five years extended supervision to run consecutive to the first sentence. Dismissed were a charge of intercourse with a person under 12, 10 counts of intercourse with a person under 13, and 11 other counts. The offenses occurred from November 2012 to November 2014 in Oconto. Conditions of the extended supervision are no direct or indirect contact with his children or wife and no contact with any minors. He must register as a sex offender, successfully enter treatment and complete all assessments and follow-through for anger management, sex offender treatment, cognitive thinking, Compass assessment and a mental heath evaluation. He is not to have access to any device capable of accessing the Internet.
Proceedings from July 10
A sentencing hearing was held for Trinity N. Steinhoff, 16, Peshtigo. On felony charges of operator fleeing/eluding an officer, bodily harm or property damage, she was sentenced to three years incarceration and three years extended supervision. On a charge of taking and driving a vehicle without consent, party to a crime, she was sentenced to three years incarceration and three years extended supervision, to run consecutive to the first sentence. On a misdemeanor charge of resisting/obstructing an officer, she was sentenced to nine months jail, to run concurrent. A charge of second degree reckless endangering safety and one misdemeanor were read in and dismissed. The offenses occurred Feb. 17 in Oconto. A Marinette County case was read in, and restitution of $12,800.29 was ordered.
