The annual Friendship Sunday at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church will bring together a full “ship of friends” from the community for a special worship service at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, and a celebration brunch immediately following.
“Welcome Aboard” and “Don’t Miss The Boat” are themes being heard each Sunday leading up to that day as Our Redeemer’s reaches out to neighbors and friends in the larger Suring area inviting them to join in this joyous event.
Because friendship is so important for all people of faith, these gatherings are an opportunity to lift up, support, enjoy and celebrate the connections people have with one another.
The church of all times and places has been referred to for the past 2,000 years as a “ship.”
This day enlarges the experience of the “church” and inspires members of Our Redeemer’s to a higher goal of getting to know more of the brothers and sisters around them.
The committee planning and leading Friendship Sunday includes Blanche Brenwall, Barbara Krueger, Richard Krueger, Corrine Roscoe, Nancy Linzmeyer, Armand Linzmeyer, Ted Roscoe and Fred Mai.
The public is invited to Friendship Sunday at Our Redeemer’s, 11005 County Road M, Suring. For more information, call the church office, 920-842-2039.
