A status conference is Aug. 28. A plea/status conference was held for Tiffany A. Gerrits, 24, Oconto Falls. She pleaded not guilty to felony charges of first-degree reckless homicide, manufacturing heroin and possession with the intent to deliver heroin, which allegedly occurred Aug. 29, 2014, in Abrams. A $250,000 cash bond continues. A status conference is Sept. 11. An initial appearance was held for Pauline M. Grundman, 61, Oconto Falls, on a felony charge of injury by negligent use of weapon/explosive, party to a crime, and a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred July 4 in Oconto Falls. Nerenhausen, 18, Oconto, on felony charges of child abuse intentionally cause harm, which allegedly occurred July 19 in Oconto. A $500 cash bond continues. A preliminary hearing is Aug. 20. Proceedings from Aug. 12 A sentencing hearing was held for Jennifer L. Fendryk, 31, Suring. She had pleaded no contest to five of 11 charges, two counts of neglecting a child (consequence is great bodily harm), false imprisonment, child abuse-failing to prevent great harm and causing mental harm to a child, which occurred from June 4, 2012, to May 23, 2013, in the town of Breed. Six other similar charges were read in and dismissed. She was sentenced to a total of 11 years, six months of incarceration and seven years of extended supervision. On count 1, neglecting a child (consequence is bodily hard), she was sentenced to four years incarceration and two years extended supervision; on count 3, child abuse failure to prevent harm, she was sentenced to four years incarceration and two years extended supervision, concurrent to count 1. On count 8, false imprisonment, she was sentenced to three years incarceration and three years extended supervision, consecutive to count 1 and 3. On count 9, causing mental harm to a child, she was sentenced to seven years, six months incarceration and five years extended supervision, consecutive to count 1 and 3, concurrent to count 8. On count 10, child neglect resulting in bodily harm, she was sentenced to seven years, six months incarceration and five years extended supervision, consecutive to count 1 and 3, concurrent to count 8 and 9.She must successfully complete all programs deemed appropriate by the Department of Corrections, have no contact with the victims and obtain and maintain full-time employment. An arraignment was held for Daniel O. Grostad, 40, Milwaukee. He pleaded not guilty to felony charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle (second-plus offense), homicide by the use of vehicle with prohibited alcohol concentration (second-plus offense), operating while under the influence cause injury (second-plus offense), prohibited alcohol concentration cause injury (second-plus offense), homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred May 11 in Doty.
