Homecoming plans in place

Homecoming week will be celebrated Sept. 13-19 at Oconto Falls High School. The celebration starts Sunday when students decorate the school hallways and paint windows at local businesses. Dress-up days will be Toga Day, Tacky Tourist Day, Tie Dye Day, Throwback Thursday and School Spirit Day. A bonfire will be held Sept. 17 after the Panthers home volleyball game, and a boys powder-puff volleyball game and girls powder-puff football game will take place Sept. 18. Also on Sept. 18, the student body will create a lip dub, which combines lip syncing and audio dubbing to create a music video to capture the spirit of homecoming. Due to various reasons including road construction, no parade will take place. The community is invited to attend a pep rally at 2 p.m. Sept. 18. The homecoming queen from 25 years ago will attend and possibly other past royalty. The day will end with a football game against Marinette at ST Paper Stadium. The homecoming dance is 8 p.m. to midnight Sept. 19 in the high school gym.
