JoAnn Myra Dams

JoAnn Myra Dams, of Oconto Falls, died peacefully Monday, July 6, 2026, in Oconto Falls at the age of 90.

She was born Oct. 31, 1935, in Manawa to Alfred and Myra (Lehman) Bozile. She grew up in Merriman, Michigan, the middle child of seven brothers and sisters. She and Irving Dams raised six children together.

She worked various jobs over the years, eventually moving to Oconto Falls and bartending at Salscheider’s Antique Bar for almost 20 years. In her free time, JoAnn enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, bowling and cheering on her favorite sports teams.

JoAnn is survived by five children, Theresa (Allen) Thomas, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Harold (Anna) Dams, of Tacoma, Washington, James Dams, of Oconto Falls, Elise Dams, of Marinette, and Alana (Ken) Gardner, of Brookfield; son-in-law, Roger Wreath, of Bartlett, Illinois; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Tom (Sandy) Bozile, of Neenah.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Wreath; great-granddaughter, Ashley Wreath; parents, Alfred and Myra Bozile; three brothers and two sisters.

A private service will be held for family.
