Carolyn Ann Litscher was brought to her heavenly home on May 30, 2024. She passed surrounded by loved ones at her treasured home on Chute Pond.
Carolyn was born Aug. 6, 1943, to Roy and Verna Rusch. She married her childhood friend and classmate, Tom Litscher, on Dec. 26 1971. They raised their family together at their home in Appleton before retiring to their cottage in Mountain.
Carolyn graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1961. She was very proud to have her children and grandchildren attend FVL as well. She took great joy in attending all of the events they participated in. She went on to graduate from Milwaukee County School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She was committed to her learning and went on to earn various degrees and certifications throughout her career.
Carolyn was a nurse for 42 years. The majority of her career was spent at Appleton Medical Center. She worked 25 of those years as an ICU nurse. She also ran the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at the Appleton YMCA.
Carolyn always had a love for flowers and was a certified master gardener. You could find her working in her gardens from sunup to sundown. She always made time to give a tour and share her flowers with anyone passing by or stopping in for a visit.
She was a member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women’s Mission Society, Critical Care Nurses Association, Great Northern Gardeners Association and many more groups and organizations. Carolyn had a true passion for travel. She traveled to all 50 states, and through her worldwide travel, she met many lifelong friends.
Carolyn is preceded in death by many loved family and friends.
She is survived and remembered by her children, Melissa (Scott) Skarban, Tim (Pam) Litscher, Shawn (Sally) Litscher and Jeff (Cathy) Litscher; her grandchildren, Mitch (Katie) Skarban, Miranda (Conner Osborn) Skarban, Erin Litscher, Kaylin (Jessica) Felix, Adrian Felix, Olivia Felix, Gabe Felix; and her great-grandchildren, Sadie Skarban and Leo Felix.
A visitation will be held at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Mountain on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m.

The family would like to thank Amanda and Eldy along with the rest of the team from Heartland Hospice for the unconditional love and care for Carolyn during this process. In lieu of flowers, a donation will be made to the Lutheran Women’s Mission Society.
