Loren R. Burrack

Loren R. Burrack, 71, of Suring, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Loren was born on March 17, 1953, to the late Harold Sr. and Delores (Waskow) Burrack in Manchester, Iowa. He was baptized at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Strawberry Point, Iowa. The family moved to Suring in 1957. Loren was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Gillett. In his younger years, Loren enjoyed horseback riding. He served his country in the U.S. Army from April 1971 to April 1973, spending seven months in Vietnam. Loren drove truck for many years and worked on the family farm. He loved motorcycles and cars, taking memorable rides to Sturgis. Loren also enjoyed music, especially George Thorogood. Loren is survived by his daughter, Janna Redding; two grandsons, Gunnar Redding and Rafe Ausdemore; siblings, Harold Jr. (Linda) Burrack, Larry (Amy) Burrack and Lance (Robin) Burrack. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his partner, Bonnie Meyer; grandson, Jude Redding. A celebration of life will be held for Loren on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at American Legion Post 283 in Veterans Memorial Park, 424 E. Brook St., Suring, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Military honors will be performed at 11:30 a.m. and a meal will follow. Please bring your own beverages.
