After working out of a bases-loaded jam in the first inning, Cade Johnson settled in and gave up just two hits and one walk in the last six innings to get a complete game shutout over the Chargers.
Noah Weier jump-started the Bears’ offense with a triple to lead off the second. Brodie Hartmann followed that with a two-run home run to left.
Bonduel added two more in the fourth on a Beckett Hartlaben single with the bases loaded. That was all the Bears needed to get the win.
Hartlaben and Hartmann each had two RBIs.
Besides throwing a complete game, Nate Waupekenay had two hits for the Chargers.
Bonduel runs its record to 17-3 and 11-1 in CWC East play. Wittenberg-Birnamwood is 15-5 overall and 8-4 in the conference.
Shawano 9, West De Pere 8
Pete Bruette was 3-for-4 with a double and a triple, and Carsen Herm was 2-for-4 with a double as Shawano lifted its overall record to 11-7 with a 9-8 win over West De Pere.
Jerzy Brocker also had a double at the plate.
Dylan Hodkiewicz started on the mound for the Hawks. He allowed five runs (four earned) on 12 hits, as he walked two and struck out five in 4 1/3 innings.
Brocker got the win on the mound, pitching the final 2 2/3 innings. He gave up three runs (one earned) on three hits while striking out six.
Freedom 6, Oconto Falls 2
Cole Bozile hit 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Alec Krejcarek was 1-for-1 in the Panthers’ 6-2 loss to Freedom.
Easton Engel took the loss on the mound. He gave up six runs (four earned) on six hits in 3 2/3 innings. He also struck out two and walked four.
