Desiree’ Lynne Reeder-Pampuch, affectionately known as Desi, passed away peacefully on Feb. 19, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 59.
Born on Jan. 15, 1965, to Ann and Victor Reeder, Desi was the youngest among her six siblings. She married Timothy James Pampuch on Oct. 22, 1994. Desi dedicated 35 years of her life to education, earning recognition as the district teacher of the year twice. She was a beloved special education teacher who cherished each of her students as if they were her own.
Outside of her career, Desi found joy in playing pickleball and water volleyball with her neighbors, visiting friends in North Carolina and hiking with her daughter Mariah. She took immense pride in her son Victor’s accomplishments, especially his achievements in shot put for Southern Utah University. Desi was eagerly anticipating teaching alongside her son at Woodbury Middle School.
Desi is survived by her children, Mariah Pampuch, of Baltimore, Maryland, and Victor Pampuch, of Las Vegas; siblings, Vicki (Joseph) Oboikovitz, Michael (Sara) Reeder, Eric (Lisa) Reeder, Steven Reeder; and sister-in-law, Dora Reeder.
She was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Ann Reeder; her husband, Tim Pampuch; her brother, Jeffrey Reeder; and sisters-in law, Lucy Reeder and Annetta Reeder.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all hospital and hospice staff who provided comfort and care during Desi’s final weeks.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Eland Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at the Reeder Farm, Eland.
