Shawano 5, D.C. Everest 4
Shawano tennis players won two of five singles matches and three of four doubles contests in a 5-4 win over D.C. Everest.
Tanner Thiel won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, and Seth Pyatskowit won 2-0, 2-0 at No. 5.
In doubles action, it was Samuel Green and Adam Prey winning 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 2 slot, Davis Lyons and Everett Grover victorious in a 6-0, 6-2 duel at No. 3 and Kadyn Goldsberry and John Kim claiming victory in a 6-3, 6-1 score at No. 4. Due to senior awards night, both teams agreed to play a reserve lineup compared to the first meeting, Shawano coach Matt Zoll said.
Green Bay Southwest 4, Pulaski 3
The Red Raiders won three matches against Green Bay Southwest, but a few points in a pair of other matches could have been the difference in winning or losing the meet.
Ryan Symons and Donovan Holderness won at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, respectively.
Pulaski’s doubles victory came in the No. 3 match when Jonah Drevs and William Gosse won.
Close matches that ended in losses for the Red Raiders were No. 3 singles Aran Capella losing 7-6 (3), 6-3, and No. 2 doubles duo Nathan Maroszek and Oscar Delmarcelle losing 2-6, 7-5, 10-5.
