Bonduel crushes Iola

April 22 Bonduel 13, Iola-Scandinavia 2 Bonduel slugged out 10 hits and put pressure on the Iola defense all game long in a 13-2 win in five innings. Colin Margelofsky, Noah Weier, Easton Reinke and Brodie Hartmann each had two hits for the Bears. Beckett Hartlaben added three RBIs. Cade Johnson threw a complete game for the win. He struck out five and walked three. Seymour 8, Shawano 7 Warner Beyer, Jerzy Brocker, Pete Bruette and Alex Zierden each had two hits for Shawano, but the Hawks came up short, losing 8-7 to Seymour in eight innings. Anderson Schmidt had a double. Beyer took the loss on the mound, giving up two runs in the last 1 2/3 innings. Seymour grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but Shawano went in front 4-1 with a pair of runs in the second and third innings. Seymour tied it up at 4-4 with three runs in the fifth. Each team scored two runs in the seventh inning to make it 6-6. Seymour scored twice in the top of the eighth, while Shawano scored one to end the game.
