Little Rapids donates $10K to Boys and Girls Club

The Little Rapids Corporation Egan Family Foundation has partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Shawano by providing a $10,000 donation. This donation will help maintain essential activities and programming vital to the well-being and growth of the community’s youths. “Our foundation was one of the charter donors, initially bringing the Boys and Girls Club to Shawano, “said Alysia Pillsbury, Little Rapids Corporations associate and Egan Family Foundation board director. “We are incredibly proud to see how the club has thrived in our community. It was such a joy to meet the kids and see, firsthand, how our donations are directly impacting lives.” The Boys and Girls Club of Shawano serves as a cornerstone in the community, fostering relationships between children and caring, professional adults while offering enriching programs designed to improve academic, social and emotional skills. With the support of the Little Rapids Corporation Egan Family Foundation, the club aims to expand its reach, providing even more resources to the youths who walk through its doors. “Boys and Girls Club of Shawano expresses their sincere gratitude for the continued support from the Little Rapids Corporation Egan Family Foundation. The support provides materials for STEM projects, BGC programming, social and emotional programming, and club incentives,” Kim Ikrcke, Boys and Girls Club of Shawano manager. “These funds support 58 club members in the after-school program held at (Olga) Brener (Intermediate) School.” For information about the Boys and Girls Club of Shawano, go to https://bgcblr.org/shawano.
