Proceedings of Feb. 23
• Sean Michael Schulz, 32, Suring, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of THC, in connection with an incident that occurred May 31, 2023. Judge Michael Judge scheduled sentencing for April 25 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
• Megan Ann Neldner, 40, an Oconto Falls woman serving time at Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac, pleaded no contest to three counts of felony bail jumping from three separate cases. Judge withheld sentencing and placed Neidner on four years of probation with conditions.
• Andrew A. Cherry, 25, Pulaski, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor counts of operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked and violating an ignition interlock order, in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 13. A felony bail jumping charge was dismissed in a plea agreement. Judge levied fines and court costs.
• Maurice Allen Olson Sr., 33, Suring, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to fleeing an officer in his vehicle, second-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), and misdemeanor counts of operating while revoked, resisting or obstructing an officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 6. Judge scheduled a plea hearing for March 5.
Proceedings of Feb. 22
• Bond was set at $7,500 cash for Michael D. Wood, 36, Oconto Falls, after he was charged with felony bail jumping and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 25. He was already awaiting trial on charges of first-degree reckless endangerment, strangulation-suffocation, false imprisonment, substantial battery, and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 1, 2022. Judge scheduled a preliminary hearing on the new charges for March 20.
Proceedings of Feb. 20
• Judge sentenced Jonathan D. Collar, 38, an Oconto Falls man now serving time at Stanley Correctional Institution, to an additional four years in prison, followed by four years of extended supervision, for aggravated battery and felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 17, 2021.
• Cannon Edward Verkuilen, 29, Kaukauna, was sentenced to three years in prison, followed by three years of extended supervision, for possession with intent to deliver amphetamine or methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 7. Judge gave Verkuilen credit for 199 days already served in the county jail and ruled he is eligible for the Substance Abuse Program, which can lead to early release upon successful completion.
• Brandon Sean Ertel, 30, Oconto, pleaded no contest to strangulation and suffocation in connection with an incident that occurred April 16, 2023. Judge scheduled sentencing for April 15 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
• A final pre-trial conference was held for Michael James Kriescher, 44, Abrams, who is scheduled to stand trial March 6-8 before Judge Jay Conley for the repeated alleged sexual assault of the same child, first-degree child sexual assault and one other related charge.
• A March 6-7 jury trial was rescheduled to Aug. 13-14 for Bruce J. Carr, 70, Gresham, on charges of possession with intent to deliver THC and maintaining a drug trafficking place, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 8, 2019, as well as misdemeanor charges of bail jumping, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (third offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 17, 2021. Conley set a final pre-trial conference for July 29.
• A March 26-28 jury trial was rescheduled to Aug. 27-29 for Cody John Krueger, 36, an Oconto man currently serving time at Green Bay Correctional Institution, on charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, armed robbery, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred in Oconto on Sept. 3, 2021. Krueger is also awaiting trial on two counts second-degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing an officer and misdemeanor driving while his license was revoked, in connection with his arrest a week later on Sept. 10, 2021. Judge scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Aug. 12.
• Frank M. Calvert, 61, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to two counts of recklessly endangering safety, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 23. Judge Jeffrey Wisnicky scheduled a status conference for April 15.
Proceedings of Feb. 19
• A final pretrial conference was held for the Feb. 27-28 jury trial of Joseph A. Reignier, 22, Oconto Falls, on a charge of strangulation and suffocation, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 22, 2022.
• Bond was set at $15,000 cash for Robert S. Presl, 44, Oconto, after he was charged with three counts of battery or threat to a law officer, one count of throwing or discharging bodily fluids at an officer, three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and a misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 16. Conley adjourned his initial appearance until March 14.
