One upcoming event is the Green Valley-Morgan Fire Company’s annual summer picnic, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Green Valley Firehouse, N5746 Oak St., in Green Valley.
Chicken booyah, brats, hamburgers, hot dogs and refreshments will be served, starting at noon. Some of the many fun activities will be live music all day long, a gun raffle, and pedal pulls and bouncers for the kids. One highlight of the picnic is the Abrams-based band Renegade performing from 7-11 p.m. at the firehouse.
This is a great opportunity to meet the members of the Green Valley-Morgan Fire Company who have the important task of helping to keep our community safe all year long. The fire company has 26 members on its roster and responded to 31 calls last year.
Please consider bringing your family to this event and letting the fire company know that you appreciate its service.

There are some important dates to mark on your calendar. The next Morgan Town Board meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10. The Oconto County Fair is Aug. 20-23 at Zippel Park in Gillett, with some special fair events such as the horse show, dog show, cat show and small pet show Aug. 15-16.
