Margaret M. Adams

Margaret M. Adams, 82, of the town of Pella, passed away suddenly and very peacefully at her son’s home under the care of hospice and her loving family on Oct. 9, 2013. Margaret was born on Nov. 2, 1930, in Belle Plaine to Joseph and Mary (Dillenburg) Brunner. She graduated from Shawano High School in 1948. On Nov. 24, 1954, she married Robert Adams in Shawano. Together they were longtime members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leopolis, and longtime residents of Pella. Bob preceded her in death on March 5, 2009. Margaret was dedicated volunteer to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed serving on the Altar Society and enjoyed making flower arrangements that adorned the church altar. Volunteering at the church gave her a sense of purpose and happiness. She was very committed to her Catholic faith and her family. She supported her children throughout their lives. She truly enjoyed any visit from her family. Margaret’s life was not easy; she had her struggles. But she always put others before herself and kept her faith as the cornerstone of her life. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends and church community. Marge is survived by her nine children, Michael (Annette) Adams, of Shawano, Mary (Jerrold) Kusiak, of Mosinee, Joseph Adams, of Antigo, Thomas Adams, of Hortonville, Peter Adams, of Pella, John (Linda) Adams, of Rib Lake, Robert Adams (special friend Stacy Zimmerman), of Pella, Mark (Amy) Adams, of Shawano, and Kathleen (Robert) Jeske, of Green Bay. Marge was blessed with four great-grandchildren: Courtney Adams, Joshua Adams, Blake Goodreau and Ethan Acker. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Her dear friends and neighbors from Pella, Tamo and Rosie Kuramoto, also survive her. Together with Bob, they shared many happy times together throughout the past 45 years. Marge was preceded in death by her husband; her grandson, Austin Robert Adams; her parents; brothers, Anton, George and John Brunner; sisters, Elizabeth Jeske and Madge Bartz; brothers-in-law, Henry Jeske, Robert Bartz, Jerry Stieber, Oren Adams, Allen Adams; and sisters-in-law, Elaine Zalewski and Charlotte Adams. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Leopolis. The Rev. David Barrett will be the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service on Saturday from 8:30-10:30 a.m., when the procession leaves for the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to create a memorial in Margaret’s name. Online condolences may be shared at www.schroedermickelsonfuneralservice.com. The family extends special thanks to Michael and Annette Adams for caring for our mother in their home after her recent illness, ThedaCare at Home Hospice, and Tamo and Rosie Kuramoto for their support and care. It is fitting that God chose a beautiful fall October day for the day our mother was called home to Heaven, a day she would have described as “glorious.”
