New London’s AA Legion team qualified for state after going undefeated in its home regional in late July.
As for Shawano, the team initially lost 8-3 to Waupaca. Shawano then eliminated Antigo with a 15-4 win and also eliminated Waupaca with an 8-3 win. However, Shawano lost 8-1 to New London to end their play.
In the 16-U Legion regionals at Wittenberg, Pulaski first beat Shawano 8-5 and Wittenberg beat Crandon 7-4.
Shawano was eliminated after losing 6-2 to D.C. Everest. Pulaski lost to West De Pere 8-0, and Wittenberg was beat by Bay Port 10-9.
Pulaski eliminated Crandon, and D.C. Everest eliminated Wittenberg. Pulaski was then knocked out by Bay Port.
In the 17-U games at Marinette, De Pere beat Pulaski 2-1, and then Pulaski was eliminated after losing 19-0 to the Green Bay Hornets.
