Kenneth R. Kegel

Kenneth R. Kegel, 77, of Suring, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, with family by his side. Ken was born on Nov. 26, 1946, to the late Albert and Fay (Kray) Kegel on the family farm, where he would go on to live the rest of his life. He purchased the farm from his parents in 1976. On Oct. 4, 1969, Ken married Toni Jagodzinski at St. Michael Catholic Church. Ken enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking. He looked forward to his Tuesday afternoon get-togethers in the shed “black hole.” Ken will always be remembered as a jokester. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Ken is survived by his wife, Toni; three daughters, Tracy (Mark) Winkler, Jenifer (Brian) McGovern and Sara (Brian) Roberts; son, Dean (Katy) Kegel; grandchildren, Mackenzee (Jaclyn), Reid, Brice, Reece, Nolan, Ian, Kasten, Kenlee, Kade, Kwynn, Megan (David) and Emily; siblings, Donald (Shirley) Kegel, Jerry (Diane) Kegel and Alan Kegel; sister-in-law, Patricia Kegel. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Kegel; brother, Howard Kegel. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Romy’s Holiday Inn from noon to 4 p.m. with a meal at 1:30 p.m. Ken will be interred at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
