Foxes pass their way past Panthers

Connor Scray threw two touchdown passes, but completed only one other pass as the Oconto Falls High School football team fell to Fox Valley Lutheran 50-14 Friday night in North Eastern Conference play. Sam Shroyer caught the Panthers’ first touchdown of the night as Oconto Falls briefly held a 7-6 advantage. A 26-0 run during the second quarter pushed the Foxes ahead by 25 before Oconto Falls struck again. Brice Delzer found the end zone on his only catch of the night to cut the margin to 18. Austin Kowalczyk led Oconto Falls in rushing with 45 yards. Michael Manns had 37 rushing yards and 36 passing yards on a throw to senior wide receiver Jack Huberty. Shroyer had two receptions for 40 yards. Defensively, Delzer recorded three tackles for loss. Aaron Kurth led the Panthers (1-6, 0-6 NEC) with nine tackles. Fox Valley Lutheran quarterback Ethan Eisenmann had a strong showing, completing 22 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns. Alex Gerhardt was his favorite target, catching 11 passes for 125 yards and a score. Fox Valley Lutheran improved to 4-3 overall, 4-2 in the NEC.
