Fabry runs to first at Point Invite

Pulaski’s Emerson Fabry won first place in the 800-meter run at the Point Invite at UW-Stevens Point on March 15. Several other girls earned top-10 finishes. Ella Hasser placed second in the 400-meter dash; Hallie Morz placed second in the pole vault; the 4x400-meter relay team was second; the 4x200-meter relay team finished third; Olivia Sprangers placed third in the 60-meter dash; Ella Ficarri placed fourth and Katelyn Jossie was sixth in the 60-meter hurdles; and Ficarri finished fifth in the long jump. Hasser also placed 17th in the triple jump. Oconto Falls Oconto Falls girls grabbed two top-10 finishes. Rylie Shallow was sixth in the 60-meter dash, and Brooke Hodkiewicz was sixth in the 800-meter run. Other top-20 finishes were Hodkiewicz in 12th place in the 1,600-meter run, Hailey Delzer in 13th and Emma Meissner in 14th in the 3,200-meter run, the 4x200-meter relay team in 12th, the 4x800-meter relay team in 12th, Hodkiewicz in 11th in the high jump, and Morgan Moynihan in 16th in the shot put. Gillett Gillett’s 4x400-meter relay team placed 28th. It was the highest finish for the team. For individuals, Haley Bullock placed 33rd in the 400-meter dash, and Hope Soper was 33rd in the triple jump. kpasson@newmedia-wi.com
