Ernest Oscar Buchholz, 86, of Gillett, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at his home. The son of the late Ernest and Dora (Knaack) Buchholz was born Jan. 2, 1929, in the town of Underhill. He attended Mosling Grade School.
Ernest married Ruby Johnson on June 30, 1956, in Suring. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Ernest worked for Gillett Cement for 10 years and later in the petroleum business for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion for over 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; one son, Larry; two daughters, Cindy and Jean; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one sister, Shirley (Lee) Zaddack; two brothers, Leroy (Naomi) and Allen (Mary) Buchholz; two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Buchholz and Joyce Bruni; and two brothers-in-law, Leonard and Harold Johnson.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at Kuehl Funeral Home in Gillett.
