Doris Elaine Blanchard, 99, of Shawano, formerly of Manitowoc, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022. Doris was born on Jan. 12, 1923, to the late Ervin and Elizabeth (Sanville) Rudebeck in Two Rivers. On Dec. 27, 1941, Doris was united in marriage to Edwin C. Blanchard in Manitowoc.
Doris was a Green Bay Packers shareholder and enjoyed watching and cheering on her team. She enjoyed baking and cooking for friends and family as well as going to the senior center to play Bingo and socialize or go to the casino to play the slots. Other past times included reading, crocheting, doing crafts, playing games on her tablet or shopping.
Doris is survived by her children, Beverly Demmin, of Shawano, and Robert Blanchard, of Pulaski; grandchildren, Michele (Wes) Carper, of Washington, Mark (Lisa) Blanchard, of Manitowoc, and Kim (Dean) Lynch, of Manitowoc; great-grandchildren, Derek (Lauren) Blanchard, Sabrina (Kyle) Handl, Shelby (Tim) Wooster, Cody Carper, and Levi Carper; and six great-great-grandchildren, Elba, Lainey, Everly, Theo, Waylon, and Paisley. She is further survived by many extended family members and friends.
Preceding Doris in death were her husband, Edwin; her son-in-law, Jim Demmin; and her parents.
A memorial service for Doris will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, at Knollwood Memorial Park in Manitowoc. Visitation will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
