Dianne J. Pingel, 82, of Wittenberg, formerly of Tigerton, passed away early Sunday morning, March 2, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Dianne Jean Pingel was born Oct. 6, 1942, in Tigerton, daughter to the late Alfred and Mildred (Roth) Menge. She was united in marriage to Robert Roy John Pingel in Kenosha on May 29, 1965.
Dianne’s main role was enjoying being a mother and raising her children. However, she did work for Bushman’s Potato Farm seasonally, and later worked at the Homme Home of Wittenberg for over 15 years doing cleaning and laundry. She later retired in 2010.
In her younger years, Dianne bowled on league in Tigerton and seemed to never miss a rummage sale. Her free time was spent watching her favorite shows like, “The Young and the Restless,” “All My Children,” “The Price is Right” and “Matlock.” Spending time with her family was her greatest joy, especially taking her grandchildren wherever they asked her to go. Dianne will be remembered as someone who always spoke her mind, as well as the love she had for her family.
She is survived by her children, Bobby (Cindy) Pingel, Bowler, Susan Pingel, Wittenberg, and Cindy Gust, Fall Creek; grandchildren:, Keith, Kyle, Kayla and Brandy; great-grandchildren, Arden, Eve, Ellie and Eila; siblings, James (Barb) Menge, Tigerton, Linda (Lowell) Johnson, Tigerton, Betty (Carl) Kriesel, Tigerton, Patsy Kriesel, Eland, Carol Owen, Wittenberg, and Debbie Deruchowski, Clintonville; sister-in-law, Renata Menge, Tigerton; her favorite grandpooches, Sophie and Teddy; and many other relatives and friends
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert R. Pingel; grandsons, Jacob and Josh Pingel, and D.J. Wilson; and brothers, Harold, Richard and Arden Menge; and a son-in-law, Ricky Gust.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Tigerton, with the Rev. Clifford Kessen officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Bowler.
Visitation will take place on Thursday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
