Chad M. Johnson

Chad M. Johnson, 49, Oconto Falls, entered the loving arms of Jesus, Saturday evening, March 11, 2023, at a Green Bay area hospital surrounded by many who loved him, following complications from surgery. The oldest of four children was born March 24, 1973, in Green Bay to Dennis and Donna (Bohl) Johnson. Chad grew up in Green Bay where he attended St. Agnes Catholic elementary school and after his family moved to Abrams, he attended Oconto Falls High School and graduated with the class of 1991. He then entered the U.S. Air Force and served until his honorable discharge. Chad lived in the Oconto Falls area most of his life, where he was employed in the Green Bay area printing industry, currently with Vibrant Impressions. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his son, father, other family members and friends. Chad will be lovingly remembered as one who lived life to the fullest, a gentle giant with a huge heart, one who made friends easily, a great hugger with an infectious laugh and proud coach of his son’s youth baseball tournament team. Survivors are his mother, Donna Johnson, Green Bay; three siblings, Heidi (Russ) Sowle, Oconto, Heather (Jamie) Zoch, Green Bay, and Todd (Sarah) Johnson, Kimberly; his partner of 19 years, Tracy Greetan-Rice, Oconto Falls; their son, Evan Johnson; Tracy’s children who called him Dad, Ashton, Adrienah and Ellory; special cousin and friend, Brian (Karla) Zoeller, New Berlin; other aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis; his paternal grandparents, Orland and Anne Johnson; and his maternal grandparents, John and Mae Bohl. Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls with a 7 p.m. prayer service to follow. Burial will be 9 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Oconto Falls.
