Technically, spring is here, but as I write this, it sure doesn’t feel like it.
This month, I would like to extend a few reminders that might be helpful as we approach the end of the school year and prepare for 2024-25. Spring sports schedules will be taking off here in extremely busy fashion. Between many field trips and daily games and meets scheduled up until the end of the school year, bussing availability becomes tricky to plan everything out logistically with available drivers.
Parents will likely need to expect some concessions with route times fluctuating periodically. Our transportation team does a great job of accommodating all requests, and we are fortunate for their planning and flexibility with scheduling.
Speaking of schedules, I would like to remind all residents that our 2024-25 school calendar has been posted on our district website. For those advanced planners, this will afford you the opportunity to get things in place well ahead of time.
So as we begin to close out one school year and prepare for another, I’d just like to highlight a couple of items that will be important for you to know. With less than two months left in the school year, I would encourage all parents to check Skyward Access and make sure they are informed as to how their children are academically concluding the school year. It is important to finish on a great note. Also, please do not hesitate to contact your children’s teachers and keep yourself informed throughout.
Graduation is scheduled for Friday, May 24. All obligations and expectations regarding registration fees, coursework, attendance, etc., must be met in order for students to participate in the graduation ceremony. These last two months of the school year will go by fast. It is important to make the most of each and every day.
Let’s keep encouraging our students to strive for their very best and finish strong. I hope you all have a productive and enjoyable spring.
