Several area track teams competed in the Rosholt-Webko-Politos Invitational at UW-Stevens Point on March 30.
Eva Brooks led the Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy team with a pair of first-place finishes. A height of 5 feet 2 inches was best in the high jump, and a total of 32-6 was No. 1 in the triple jump. Della Kostreva was fourth in the triple jump, and Kaitlyn Borkovec placed eighth.
Brooks also took second in the 60-meter hurdles, and Kali Fischer was sixth.
Abigail Kostreva placed second in the long jump and sixth in the 400-meter dash.
Karli Fischer captured seventh in the pole vault, with Macy Herald placing eight. Mackenzie Vorpahl was 10th in the shot put.
Paige Niquette placed second in the 60-meter dash and Ashlyn Kurey was second in the triple jump to lead all Bonduel team members.
Mariah Wondra claimed third in the 3,200-meter run. Wondra placed fourth and Teagan Engel was seventh in the 1,600-meter run.
The 4x200-meter relay team and the 4x400-meter relay team each finished in fourth place. Cierra Schnell was fourth in the long jump.
In the 60-meter hurdles, it was Schnell in seventh place.
Rachel Hunter finished in eighth place in the shot put.
Audrey Weier placed ninth in the high jump. Kurey was ninth in the 800-meter run, and Engel placed 10th.
Gresham/Bowler was led by Isabella Stevens’ fourth-place finish in the high jump and fifth-place spot in the shot put.
The 4x200-meter relay team placed 10th.
Marion’s top spot was notched by the 4x200-meter relay’s team 11th-place finish.
Boys events
Bonduel was led by Ben O’Brien in the 3,200-meter run and Samuel Roberts in the long jump, each placing second.
The 4x200-meter relay team placed third, as did Ryan Westrich in the shot put.
O’Brien placed sixth in the 1,600-meter run.
Griffin Uelmen leapt to 10th in the high jump, and Roberts was 10th in the triple jump.
Gillett was led by Bradyn Wendorff with a second-place finish in the 1,600-meter run.
The 4x400-meter relay team placed ninth.
Gresham/Bowler’s Bryson Nelson was third in the 3,200-meter run and eighth in the 1,600-meter run.
Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy collected a pair of second-places and one third.
Anthony Seefeldt was second in the shot put.
Zander Thomson was second in the 60-meter hurdles and third in the high jump.
Marion’a best finish was recorded by Tristan Herro taking 16th in the long jump and triple jump.
