Bonduel, Oconto Falls, Wittenberg-Birnamwood girls earn Academic All-State honors

The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced the 2024 Girls Basketball Academic All-State Award to the outstanding individuals that attain a high level of success in the classroom. Several girls from Bonduel, Oconto Falls and Wittenberg-Birnamwood were among the honorees this year. The WBCA, in a continued quest to recognize the outstanding work of the student-athletes around Wisconsin, has modified and expanded the Academic All-State program for 2024. New in 2023, Academic All-State requires that nominated athletes be varsity players from any grade level and hold a GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). These players will receive a WBCA certificate from their school. Elite Academic All-State is similar to what the WBCA has produced in the past, incorporating more robust academic review and incorporating on-court performance as well. This recognition continues to be for seniors only and will be announced at a later date. More than 1,800 girls basketball players met the minimum requirement to be recognized as WBCA All-State.
