Another Shawano County Board seat could be up for grabs in April after another possible challenger registered Friday.
Roger Miller, of Bowler, has turned in a campaign registration statement for the District 21 supervisor seat held by Bert Huntington, of Gresham. Huntington has registered to seek another two-year term.
The deadline for filing registration and the 20 signatures needed to get on the ballot is Jan. 5.
All 27 County Board seats are up for re-election in April. There are now six potential contested board races.
In other potential races, Supervisor Mike McClelland, representing District 4 in Shawano, faces a possible challenge from Aimee Zienert, of Shawano; Sandy Steinke, District 5 in Shawano, faces a possible challenge from Steve Borroughs; District 10 Supervisor Robert Krause, of Krakow, could face a challenge from David Kohn, of Cecil; District 17 Supervisor Bonnie Olson, of Belle Plaine, faces a possible challenge from Allan Kuhn, of Shawano; and District 27 Supervisor Jon Zwirschitz, of Birnamwood, could face a rematch against former county supervisor Marion Wnek, of Almon.
Steinke, who has also registered as a candidate for Shawano mayor, has not yet filed a campaign registration statement with the county.
The spring election will be held April 5. Any primary races will be decided on Feb. 16.
