Brett Milhans scored five touchdowns in the first half and tallied 99 rushing yards on 10 carries as Gillett won its home opener Friday.
Leeland Kahler rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns and had a 40-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter. Alex Zeitler recorded 58 yards on a perfect three completions on three attempts.
The Tigers averaged 9.5 yards per carry during the game and 9.9 yards per play offensively.
Elcho/White Lake recorded just 38 total yards in the game.
Suring 34, Laona/Wabeno 30
John Christensen completed 10 of his 19 pass attempts with three touchdowns Friday for Suring.
Christensen also ran eight times for 68 yards. Mitchell Firgens added 57 yards and two scoring runs for Suring.
Ryan Mahoney racked up 134 receiving yards on just three completions, including 60- and 70-yard touchdown receptions.
