BOYS BASKETBALL Shawano 53 Seymour 51 Cole Nelson’s 3-pointer toward the end of regulation pushed the Hawks and Thunder to an overtime period, where Shawano hit 5 of 7 free throws to close out the Bay Conference battle Tuesday night. Senior Zeke Gueths hit three free throws and the Hawks’ only field goal in overtime en route to his game-high 25 points. He added six rebounds. Austin Kohl added 7 points and seven rebounds, while Adam Bartz recorded 11 rebounds for the Hawks (4-6, 3-1 Bay). Seymour (5-4, 3-1 Bay) was led by Reed Blake’s 14 points. Green Bay NEW Lutheran 70 Bonduel 61 Senior center Peyton Czarapata led Bonduel with 25 points and 12 rebounds in Tuesday’s overtime loss. Senior Trevor Pedersen added 13 points and seven rebounds for Bonduel (3-4, 1-2 Central Wisconsin Conference-8). Gage Petchka added eight rebounds in the loss to the Blazers (5-5, 2-3 Packerland). Gresham 73 Gibraltar 62 The Wildcats had a difficult first half, trailing Gibraltar by 3 points before outscoring the hosts 48-34 in the second half for the victory. Neal Cerveny led Gresham (10-0, 6-0 Central Wisconsin Conference-10) with 23 points, while Ray Creapeau added 20 points. Gibraltar (5-6, 1-4 Packerland) was led by Nathan Surgis’ game-high 28 points. GIRLS BASKETBALL Tri-County 46 Menominee Indian 36 Senior guard Taylor Mahkimetas scored a team-high 14 points in Menominee Indian’s road loss to Central-Wisconsin Conference-10 leading Tri-County. Ania Smith added 11 points, 16 rebounds and three assists for the Eagles (8-3, 4-2 CWC-10). Sophomore Amber Baehman led all scorers with 19 points to lead Tri-County (8-1, 6-0 CWC-10).
