Shawano 50, Rhinelander 47
Shawano advanced to the WIAA Division 2 sectional final with a 50-47 semifinal win over Rhinelander in Antigo.
The game came down to the final seconds, but the No. 1 seed Hawks won out over the No. 3 Hodags.
Shawano will play against Rice Lake on March 7 at Stevens Point Area Senior High. The winner will advance to the state tournament beginning March 13.
The Hawks are 18-9, while Rhinelander’s season ended with a 16-11 mark.
Florence 50, Lena 48
The Wildcats season came to an end with a 50-48 loss to Florence in the WIAA Division 5 semifinal game at Peshtigo.
Lena ended the season with a 23-4 record.
