Harrison H. Jacquet, 84, of Mountain, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, with family by his side. Harrison was born on May 5, 1937, to the late Harrison E. and Elmira (Lackershaire) Jacquet in Sturgeon Bay. He served his country in the U.S. Army and he was stationed in Germany. On Feb. 12, 1965, Harrison married Jean Marie Timm. The couple lived in Green Bay with their family until 1981, when they moved to Suring. Harrison began working at Gerry Wood Products and remained there through many name changes until he retired from Evenflo in 2002. After retiring, Harrison liked to tinker with restoring old furniture. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going for rides to see wildlife and all of what nature had to offer. Harrison loved to spend time with his grandchildren and always had candy for them; he earned the nickname “Grandpa Candy.”
Harrison is survived by his five children, Todd (Lori) Jacquet of Green Bay, Troy Jacquet of Conover, Travis (Amy) Jacquet of Union Grove, Harrison (Gania) Jacquet of Hickory, and Heather (James) Pusich of Conover; sisters, Jean Allen and Elaine Roskom; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean; siblings, Lydia, Mildred, Sandy, Eugene, Russell, and Stanley; grandson, Dean.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2021, at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steven Stoll officiating. Harrison will be interred at Breed Union Cemetery beside his wife in the spring. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
