Harlan J. “Huck” Peters Sr., 59, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, at his home.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 at the South Branch Community Center, W1281 County Road M, Keshena, followed by a traditional Menominee prayer service and meal.
Harlan was born July 1, 1962, in Shawano to Alex and Gloria (Corn) Peters. He married Lisa Donovan on Aug. 14, 2021 on the Wisconsin River.
Harlan worked as a forklift operator at Ocean Spray Cranberry.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and attending pow wows. He loved to cook and spent a lot of time doing construction projects, maintaining and upgrading his home, as well as welding projects.
Harlan is survived by his wife, Lisa Donavan-Peters; his mother, Gloria; children, Andrea, Randall (Millie), Melissa (Ruben), Harlan Jr. (Heather), Nicole (Vance), Nathaniel, Ryan, Alina, and Isaiah; grandchildren, Daniel, Aurelia, Darius, Adrianna, Carter, Mya, Jaxon, Shaniah, Meskōwesewen, and Marcel; brothers, Alex III (Olga), Joseph and Dale (Carla); sisters, Kathy and Annette (Harley); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alex; son, Jordan; brothers, Gus and Tony; sisters, Jeanie and Gale; and nephews, B.J., Roland, Shawn, Shane and Marcel.
