Gerald Arlen Boivin Sr.

Gerald Arlen Boivin Sr., 51, of Keshena, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Jerry was born Nov. 22, 1969, the son of the late Donald and Norma “Waubanascum” Boivin. Jerry graduated from Menominee High School in 1987 and worked at Menominee and North Star casinos for 29 years. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and pool and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching television, especially sports. Jerry was married Oct. 2, 1999, to Billie Jo LaRock. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Church. He is survived by his wife, Billie; son, Gerald (fiancée Hailey Seidler) Boivin Jr.; daughter, Natasha (fiancé Darell Smart) Boivin; grandchildren, Aliyanna Boivin, D’Andre Gast, Nolan Smart, Gerald Boivin III and Javon Smart; sister, Carol Ann Boivin; nieces and nephews, Maryellen Boivin, Rainelle Boivin, Karlena Boivin, Taylor James, Tai James, Darwin Thunder, Mary Jane James, Thomas Thunder and Santee James. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Faye James and Donna Thunder; nephew, Kyle Thunder; and twin grandsons, Marcus and Maliq Boivin. A funeral service for Jerry will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Hanz Christian officiating. Burial will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Neopit. Visitation will be held at the Boivin residence, W2667 Chief Josette Street-Warrington Edition, Keshena, starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2021, until procession leaves for church on Tuesday.
