Energy assistance clinics to start

Individuals may apply for energy assistance at several clinics offered by the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program. Applications are completed by appointment only; no walk-ins are allowed. To schedule an appointment at any of the following outreach clinics, call Marsha at 920-834-7159. Clinics at New View, 222 W. Park St., Gillett, are Mondays, Oct. 12, 26, Nov. 9, 30 and Dec. 14. Clinics at the New Beginnings Store, 230 Van Buren St., Oconto Falls, are Monday, Oct. 12, Nov. 16, Dec. 14; and Tuesday, Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15. Clinics at the Lakewood Administration Building, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood, are Monday, Oct. 5, Nov. 2, Dec. 7 and Jan. 11. Clinics at the Suring Fire Department, 604 Main St., Suring, are Monday, Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Jan. 18. Clinics at the Little Suamico Town Hall, 5964 County Road S, are Monday, Oct. 23, Nov. 13 and Jan. 29. Applicants must meet income guidelines to be eligible for assistance. For example, annual income for a one-person household is $25,601; two-person, $33,478; three person, $41,355; and four person, $49,232.
