Elizabeth “Betty” Peterman, 72, of Gillett, passed away at home surrounded by her family.
Betty was born March 28, 1949, to the late Orville and Violet (Arndt) Driggs, married Lawrence Peterman on May 25, 1968, and along the way farmed, raised four wonderful children, and watched their family grow to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren — they were her true love. Betty also enjoyed Bingo, sheepshead, dart ball, hunting, fishing, road trips, watching her hummingbirds, watching the Green Bay Packers, Packer pools, holidays and especially bringing bacon home in a doggy bag for her dog, Mitsy.
Survived by her husband, Larry; children, Diana Heider (fiancée Bryan Mier), Sharon (Conrad) Cornelius, Sandra (Daniel) Wright and Joseph Peterman (fiancée Amy Missall); grandchildren, Josh Heider, Jacob (Samantha) Heider, Hope (Shane) Markovic, James Heider, Jeremiah Heider, Kayla Cornelius, Conrad Cornelius Jr., Austin (Jesslyn) Wright, Theodore Wright and Ross Peterman; great-grandchildren, Ean, Adrian and Jasmine Heider, Milijana and Stefan Markovic and Dominik Wright; brother Orville “Butch” (Tammy) Driggs Jr.
Preceded in death by two half-brothers, Lloyd Arndt and Norris (Janet) Bohn, along with many other friends and relatives.
Betty’s family would like to thank Dr. Michael Volk, Holly Spletzer and the entire staff of Unity Hospice for the kind and compassionate care of “Mom” in her final days.
Per Betty’s request her pallbearers will be Joshua Heider, Jacob Heider, James Heider, Austin Wright, Conrad Cornelius Jr., and Allen Richert.
Visitation will take place Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at Kuehl Funeral Home (108 E. Main St., Gillett) from 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
