Donald W. Klipstein

Donald W. Klipstein, 83, of Suring, passed away on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021. Donald was born on March 23, 1938, to the late John and Amanda (Raddatz) Klipstein in Beaver Dam. He graduated from East Troy High School. After graduation, Donald began work at Harnischfeger Corporation where he worked as an electrician for 43 years until his retirement. On June 10, 1978, Donald married Suzanne Szymanski. Over the years, Donald played in several bands, playing the steel and electric guitar. He loved fishing, hunting, trapshooting, singing karaoke, riding his Harley and tinkering in his garage. Donald loved his dog, Nellie, who was always on his lap. He enjoyed spending time with people, especially his family. Donald is survived by his wife of 43 years, Suzanne; son, Corey (Gina) Klipstein; stepson, Shawn (Cheryl) Crane; sister, Vera Hackbarth; three grandchildren, Samantha, Brook, and Levi; step-grandchild, Gavin; two great-grandchildren; and two special nieces, Marge (Mike) Moore and Leslie (Kenny) Frymark. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Amanda. Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 1 p.m. until the memorial service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Michael Paholke officiating. Donald will be interred at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Gillett. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
