Delbert Hoffman

Delbert “Bart” Edwin Hoffman, 90, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, in Shawano. Bart was born on March 10, 1932, to the late Alex and Selma (Heins) Hoffman in the Town of Herman. After graduating High School, he went on to serve in the Air Force. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Tracy in Los Angeles on April 2, 1958. Bart was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gresham and was dedicated to his faith. He accepted many callings from the church and always offered his time. He also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and reading westerns. Bart is survived by his wife, Kathleen Hoffman; his children, Jennifer Hoffman, Corben (Elena) Hoffman and Nathan (Debra) Hoffman; his grandchildren, Megan (Brandon) Cannon and Lindsey Hoffman; his great-grandchild, Robin Dale Cannon; his step-grandchildren, Alice, Lisa and Laura; his brother, Dan (Sue) Hoffman; his brothers-in-law, Montie Tracy and Clyde Tracy; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Hoffman and Carol Hoffman. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Bart was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Selma; his siblings, Omer Hoffman, Evelyn (Alex) Bohl, Glen Hoffman, Clyde Hoffman and Sanford Hoffman; his brother-in-law, Larry Tracy; his sisters-in-law, Betty Tracy-Jensen and Carol Otto-Hoffman. A funeral service for Bart will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gresham at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Bishop John Rickert officiating. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church until the time of service. Burial will be held in the spring at Roosevelt Cemetery in Gresham.
