Dean R. Sederstrom

Dean R. Sederstrom, 76, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Shawano. Dean was born on June 4, 1937, to the late Elmer and Loretta (Peterson) Sederstrom in Shawano. On May 25, 1957, he married Alice “Chick” Funk at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Dean worked for Morning Glory Dairy from 1958-1968. He then worked for Teamsters Union, Local 75 from 1968-1977, and then he worked for Federal Mediation from 1977 until his retirement on July 3, 1998. Dean was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, town of Washington. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, golfing, riding his John Deere garden tractor and telling stories. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice “Chick” Sederstrom, Shawano; his children, James (Nancy) Sederstrom, De Pere, Todd (Kara) Sederstrom, Green Bay, and Candace Sederstrom, Random Lake; four grandchildren, Jessica, Rachel, Melinda, Hunter; one great-grandson, Bryce. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, town of Washington, W4496 County Road E, with the Rev. Steven Pockat officiating. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil and Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
